The Truth about Refugee Claimants

The media is full of conflicting opinions about newcomers to Canada. Questions about properly housing international students and new immigrants abound. Inasmuch solely supports Refugee Claimants. These are not government sponsored refugees. Rather, they have fled persecution and fear in their home countries and have legally claimed asylum here. While they wait for their court hearing, we provide wrap around services and care with the goal of helping them establish their own rental housing and eventually, employment. We are grateful for you, our donors, volunteers and prayer warriors that make this possible! 

Eager for Employment

When Refugee Claimants arrive in Canada they are not permitted to work. Inasmuch supports them during this time with wrap around services including housing, food and community. Once they receive their work permit, they are eager to find a job!  
Recently, through our connections to local employers, we’ve helped 5 Refugee Claimants secure reliable employment! This gives them financial stability and helps them integrate into the community. If you or someone you know has job openings, please contact us at settlement@inasmuch.ca and we will refer a reliable, hard-working individual!
